When I installed Yosemite, lots of online research and guidance was followed first. However, from the first time using the computer with 10.10, good old Safari was slow, and with each day it became slower until I could not get online. Nada. Three days of visiting a neighbor to use her computer to research a fix for my issue, the resolution came with the installation of Google Chrome. I have stopped using Safari entirely, and the Mac is back. I am not saying installing Google as your browser is your fix. I am saying that I despised 10.10 for causing increasing anxiety during the weeks leading to the complete meltdown of Safari.
I do not like flux; not everyone enjoys updates and changes. I will say that adjusting to 10.10 has been challenging, but far smarter people create the updates and, I trust, have ordinary people work with it before release. Nearing sixty, I want to continue to learn and watch things get better, even if I don't understand why another update.
Today's task for me and 10.10 is figuring out how to make Google and/or 10.10 remember me and my passwords. I really do not want one website or place to remember everything for me, do I? Do I need to get comfortable with iCloud or some other...thing (having used Macs since '88 does not mean I know anything) to remember me and passwords?
Thanks, Folks.
