I performed an install of Yosemite on my Mac book Pro and it looked like all went well but when I looked at "About this Mac" it says I am using version 10.9.5. Isn't Yosemite 10.10.5?

latest is 10.10.3 with the Photos app that replaces iPhoto

The latest issue of Yosemite is, as has been said above, 10.10.3. Apparently the install didn't install itself. You may want to try again. And you may want to post in the correct forum:

No need to look at "About this mac": if your UI still looks like 10.9.x then something obviously isn't right. Try reinstalling Yosemite.
