You Can´t Install Leopard On This Computer

HELLO, I HAVE A MAC BOOK AND WHEN I TRY TO INSTALL LEOPARD I GET THE MESSAGE:

THIS SOFTWARE CAN´T BE INSTALLED ON THIS COMPUTER.

ANY CLUES?
I HAVE ENOUGH RAM AND 12 GB FREE ON MY HD

What kind of Leopard DVDs do you have? Is it a black disc with a big X on it, or a grey disc without a big X on it?

According to the system requirements for Leopard, it should work, although you're cutting things pretty close on available free space on your HD.

Almost sounds as if you are trying to install from system disk that came with a different system.

You have to buy some kind of retail Leopard discs -- they can be either just a single user copy or a family pack. You would get the family pack if you wanted to use the new Leopard discs you buy on more than one Mac.

The grey system restore discs, both legally and technically, only work on the kind of computer with which they were shipped. So an iMac's restore discs never work on a Macbook, or even on a different revision of the iMac.
