does anyone know approximately how many business days it takes for a c2d mb to ship to New York City? I ask because i COULD order now but i have finals in 3 weeks and if it comes in that interim period, i'm not gonna study and fail all my classes. So can anyone please tell me the estimate ship times (preferably from experience). TIA!

Mine was custom (glossy screen.. everything else stock) and I paid for expedited shipping.. from order to delivery, it was about a week.
Finals here in the U.S. this year are generally going to be December 18-December 22. Then there's break from December 23-Jan 9 (or whenever, some schools go longer), depending on the school.
Some schools do have the Dec 18-Dec 22 period off and so then finals would be the week before.
Same here. I'm off from the 14th through the 15th...

Lol, I had my film and final paper due last Wednesday...so I get to relax, drink, and watch movies while everyone else stresses out this week (quarter system).

Well I just ordered my Mini with extra ram and a larger HDD and it only took 5 days to get here. So I imagine if it was stock then I would think it would be little bit faster.
if its stock then why not just go and pick it up at the apple store.... theirs like a billion in the city...

im not buying stock, and i heard that ram upgrades are more expensive in store.
ah you suck. lol. this is my last week of classes, and then next week are finals.. fortunately I only have 3!

Ram upgrades are expensive from apple, period....get it from crucial or datamem, not apple. save yourself some money.
actually with the edu discount, memory is cheaper because if you eventually want 2 gbs on your mac and its only 157 with edu discount to upgrade to 2gb. if you wanted to upgrade yourself you'd have to get 2x512mb and then buy 2 sticks of gb which im sure will amount to more than 157.
This is one problem I was pondering with. If I bought the MB bone stock then bought 2x1 GB sticks for $100 and sold the 2x512 MB for say...$70 then I'd say a few but I've seen then sold for around $55 on eBay :-\

who here honestly could say that they'd let a MacBook box sit there and not open it. Even if I dont open it, it'll provide a huge distraction. I don't have that kind of will power.
