I would pay top dollar for an Apple brand keyboard exactly like the thin aluminum keyboard that comes with all new Macs except back-lit with a green LEDs so I can see all the keys when I'm working in dim light.

Get on it Apple!

Green Backlighting? no thanks.

White backlighting would be awesome, not for anymore money though.

Maybe $60.

I prefer my Logitech G11, with programmable keys and blue backlighting. (pity the keycaps can't be reversed, for the ALT and logo keys, to make them match my MBP...)

Why would you need to look at the keyboard? I have my backlight disabled on all my keyboards.

...Cause some people don't know how to touch-type.

I use the backlighting all the time on my keyboard and I do know how to touch-type at about 120-130 WPM I might add so I never use it to actually type. But the backlighting is quite useful when trying to find specific function keys (ie media controls).

And I would probably pay up to $100 for a wireless keyboard with black keys and white backlighting. That's somewhat reasonable considering their current wireless keyboard is $80.

I have backlight keyboards on some of my laptops but I never use the terminals in poor lighting conditions where the backlight is actually active. Why? Cause it's really bad for your eye-sight.

My back lighting on my MB has been disabled for months now I guess. I never noticed at all.

Apple over charges for everything. So if there was something like a back lite keyboard, I am sure Apple would charge close to $199. Although I would have to argue the worth of something like that being more like $65.

Take typing classes? :D

+1! LOL

Only thing I still remember from 15 years ago! lol. Who needs backlight when you know where all the keys are? I'd rather get the additional 15 minutes of battery life :p.

I'm kidding tho. I never cared for it but it would look damn cool tho. Not worth $199.

Now $199 for a slim Aluminum keypad w/o numpad and with backlit OLED programmable icon keys. Now that would be nice.

I bet people would dish out $299 for such a keyboard.

But I agree I think it would be fairly priced at $99.

I guess having my white keys a foot from my 30" display keeps plenty of light on it. I enjoy it for my MBP, though.
Alright Apple... there are probably ten customers right here... and think of all the people myspacing at 2am in the dark, trying to make a :) and hittine the damn "(" or "_" keys... there's a market for a keyboard with "precision backlighting."
