Hello
What should be done to fix this error?

You must have a Metal compatible graphics card and be running Mac OS X 10.11.6 or later to launch this process.

It sure helps if you tell us:
- Which Mac you have
- What year it was made
- What version of the OS is running.

New operating system
But my MacBook is 2011
And my graphics card is not compatible
But I want to know if there is a way around this?
(The game is Fortnite)
Get a newer machine which has a better graphics card and is capable of running MacOS 10.11.6 or greater?

The simplest way 'around this' is to get a newer computer with a Metal/Metal 2 compatible GPU.

The harder way is to try & replace the GPU inside the MacBook with a Metal/Metal 2 compatible GPU and then see if it will allow you to install the later OS (or try dosude's patched installers).

If the GPU on your machine is part of the CPU (e.g. HD3000) then the answer is probably no. If it's a discrete GPU like a Geforce 320M then there 'may' be a path, but I don't know what or how difficult it would be - probably better to ask in the machine-specific area of this forum.

Well at the moment, Metal support is one thing, but you need to be aware that the latest season is not available on the Mac version anyway, due to the current legal dispute between Apple and Epic.

I thought that was only for iOS/iPadOS, as you have to use the App Store to download the game...whereas you can just get the game from Epic directly on MacOS.

you will not be able to play the latest season.
