Anyone know if the iPhone screen will respond like the iPod wheel does?

Probably not - the touch screen on the iphone is one of the 'clever' new ones and they need a real finger to touch them. You can just about do it through a piece of paper but anything thicker than that doesn't really work.

There's a clip about the screen on the Apple website. It works on the disruption made by your electromagnetic field over one that runs under the glass. That, and a bunch of nifty software. Anything that shields your body's electromagnetic field from the screen will prevent it sensing touches.

Curious - has someone brought up the subject about the iPhone and the upcoming winter weather? I've been thinking of that myself because it's certainly a summer/spring phone IMO. There are times in NY when removing gloves means getting frost bite in seconds...well, not literally, but it feels like it. I worry a bit. Maybe someone can come up with something pro actively.
