Kinda pointless tidbit here but don't expect the next firmware to be 1.1.1. Think about it. We have only seen this on a pre release euro iPhone. The US version is bound to have a slightly different version thanks to US specific functions. Even if that isn't the case, its likely that they have already made changes to it enough that its either at 1.1.2 or maybe even just 1.2. Again pointless sidebar but I'm bored.

Except for Apple is more likely to dynamically change the phone's settings based on location rather than have two/three/four separate versions of software. After-all that is what OSX on a Mac does (change your country in system preferences to see what I mean).

Edit to note that the screen shot from UK of the firmware has version 1.1.1 (3B20) the version on the screen shot on Apple's site has 1.1.1 (3B13) so there is a different version that is being used in the display models - probably just a more current version of the pre-release update.

True that....

Probably checks location through iTunes and your Apple account.

It's pretty obvious the firmware will change before the UK models are released...

Apple don't jsut sit around doing nothing counting their money....
