I run 3-5 miles at least 4 to 5 days a week. Looking for an Apple Watch that will work well on treadmills over the wintry months, in gyms, and for outdoor running & sports.

I was going to order a Space Grey watch but heard people complain about scratching.

The Nike+ watches I am totally unfamiliar with but I want something that will import well into Mapmyrun.

The main 2 watches I am looking to possibly purchase are:

Silver Aluminum Case:

Space Gray Case:

42mm case for either watch.

Please feel free to comment or recommend any of the Series 3 watches and why they would be a good fit for me (my wife is purchasing the watch for Xmas gift for me).

Thanks!

There really isn't any difference between the Nike S3 and the regular ones, save the exclusive faces and the band. Get the watch with the band you want and you're fine.

As for the screen scratching, I guess the SS has the better screen than the Sport/Nike models. To me, the screen is so bright that minor scratches aren't noticeable at all.

As for getting runs into MapMyRun, neither the NRC (NikeRunClub) or the stock Workout apps will export to MapMyRun. However, other apps will. I use iSmoothRun ($4) and it can export to MMR. Alternatively, there are apps that can take the data from NRC or Workout and export it to MMR. RunGap can do that, but you might need to get the SwagBag IAP ($2 for 3 months).

Lastly, there might be a MMR app on the AW. Not sure how well it works on the AW, if it exists at all.

Thanks for the excellent advice and mentioning apps that will export to MapMyRun. I haven't used Nike+ since my old iPod days! I prefer more robust running programs that track your times, elevation and progress.

There's both a free version and a p$2.99 version of map my run in the watch app store.

Thanks good to know - have had it on iPhones for years and also use on desktop computers too.
[doublepost=1512507352][/doublepost]I was at Verizon this afternoon and was able to look at several of the Apple Watches, so I have a better idea of what type of series 3 watch I want, band preference, etc. I am probably not going to get the Nike+ Watch as I really see no big advantages to it over the other Series 3 watches. Thanks everyone for the advice so far.
