The sounds effects and screen are very easy to photo shop.

I have to agree. That looks faked. Why can't they show video of training the fingerprint scanner using the cat's paw? Why does the only sound in the entire video sound like it's dubbed?

I wonder if one could register a plastic finger "scuplture" and later use it to unlock the phone?

With the iPhone 5s you can simply hold your finger on the home button, if it's the correct print it will perform the same action as slide to unlock.
