Do you have a favorite vs. the stock app? Do some measure your HR differently, as in more frequent intervals? There are so many out there and to each there own. Just curious which you guys like and why?

am a big fan of Runmeter, Walkmeter - use it a lot for hiking, running, mountain biking, awesome email report at the finish of the workout, been using since apple watch first came out - paid version "Elite Upgrade" = $10

Customizable pages are awesome for status updates - heart rate, distance, calories, etc

I used Nike run club for close to a year and it was by far my favorite but around the time they launched the v 3 Watch, Nike updated the app and its been terrible since. I moved over to the stock workouts app ( I was already using it for cycling) and its been great. If Nike ever gets their app figured out, I’ll probably move back, but if not, the stock workouts app is pretty nice.

I have been using the Zones for Training App. I really like it. I use it primarily in the gym doing resistance training and also when I’m playing tennis. I’ve compared that with the Stock workout app as far as doing the elliptical and they were pretty spot on. However for playing tennis, choosing the “other “workout on the Stock app doesn’t cut it as the calories are way off and super low.

I use the stock app for indoor workouts. But I recently installed an app called WorkOutDoors for (you guessed it) when I do outdoor workouts. It's a really great app which allows you to download maps to the watch for your location, and it has lots of granularity in tracking elevation profiles of routes you take, relative heart rate over the course of the route, pace, etc. It's a beautifully designed app.

I just use the built in app. It does everything I need and has the options I want.

Same here. I’m very happy with it. I’m an avid runner and its GPS matches up with the mile markers that my Garmin spits out and I like the simple interface. I have several friends with AW’s and I like sharing activities with them and seeing their activities through the Workout app.

Aside from running I use the Indoor Walk options on the treadmill and Cross Training for when I’m at the gym doing a few different things in one session. I’m pleased with it.
