Your Tags Strategy

I still haven't really gotten the hang of Tags but I really want to so I don't have to rely on the folder architecture.

I've done a bunch of reading on how to use Tags but every site seems to just go through the basics.

Anyone want to share their strategies for implementation that are super efficient and easy to use?
