Just kind of curious about what you guys think. Here's mine:

1. Multitasking/background support of some kind. Push helps, but it would be nice to say stream Pandora while playing a game and then be able to seamlessly reply to a text message and return to my game. It's my battery life Apple, I'll do what I want with it lol.
2. Something needs to be done with notifications... the system needs to be improved so I can see all the stuff that has happened.
3. Some kind of flash for the camera.
4. Ability to skin/change the look/customize my iPhone. Yeah I know I can Jailbreak, but this should be built in.

- One thing I would like is a better predictive text/autocorrect and learning system. Reminds me of when I got treo650/700wx on their launch dates. Systems even on those old phones were better. Not to say iPhone system is terrible but could use improvements.

Also highly agree on background apps.

Making the phone slightly thicker to accommodate a bigger and longer lasting battery. I don't care if the phone is super thin like my iPod Nano, a little more thickness for a longer battery would be beneficial for me. As well as bringing back the less recessed buttons from the original iPhone, the 3G(s) volume and power buttons are too far recessed IMO.

making the dialer half tall. the top would display names as the number/letter combos start to match up

a la blackberry

Get rid of At&t. At&t is flat out the worst carrier in So Cal.
Add 3rd party multitasking.
Better battery life.
Theft and damage insurance.

Proper push notifications would be great, and push Gmail would make my day.

I agree, even if they charge though the App Store for themes. I know a lot of people Jailbreak, but there are even more that don't, and would pay for themes, just to make there phone look the way they want it to.

Way way way better battery life and built quality would make people so much less frustrated.

Way better battery, Flash, MMS (AT&T's fault, i know), LED screen, Ability to turn off landscape keyboard system wide.. i hate that damn thing!!!

Cant' believe I forgot about themes. If they did that I'd probably think harder about not jailbreaking.

More customization
A screen that doesn't scratch or collect dust [I know, never happening]
Amazing battery

All of which probably won't happen =/

Everytime there is a update I keep hoping for this one:

A icon that tells you the phone is on silent, I often forget to take it out of silent when I finish work and end up missing calls.

Ummm....
1)Better Battery
2)AT LEAST have the ability to stream things in the background. I don't really care about the whole multiple things running, but maybe make the iPhone be able to stream things for apps that stream like apps that can use push.
3)Maybe have touch sensitive parts on the front to get to common things (wifi, brightness, bluetooth, and airplane mode) quicker and all together.

Those are just a few things I can think of now.

If I could just hear my appointment reminders (e.g. customize them) I'd be content. I miss too many meetings....

multitasking/background apps
custom sms tones
custom backgrounds/themes
verizon iphone
hd screen/resolutions
longer battery life
access to email through apps (Docs to Go/QuickOffice) or a native office suite (iWork?)

First time I've ever heard this complaint. I find the iphone's auto correct nothing short of amazing. I can get half the letters in word wrong and it will fix it.

I guess I'd say multitasking/background apps, and after that, unified inbox. But honestly, I'm quite happy with the way it works now; anything more is gravy.

I would easily take a thicker iPhone to have a bit better battery. I would love a re-occurring notification for calls, emails, texts, etc. Would like the ability to have a on/off one button icon in the menu for wifi and bt. Would like customized tones for email. Would like my Exchange tasks synced AND have the ability to add a task w/o a 3rd party app. And I would like automatic profiles - or allow 3rd parties to develop such.
