You're not connected to the internet message

When I wake up my MBP it instantly pops up that I am not connected to the internet and then 2 seconds later I hear the chime that I am back online. It's really annoying to have this thing tell me I am not connected every time I wake the computer up. Is there a way to turn this message off?

Solved

I corrected the issue by changing my preferred network to the top choice. I must have logged on to another network while travelling and it became my first preferred network.
