Youtube and Google both ridiculously slow now on Safari?

On Safari 5.1.7, have tried a reset, and am not in the HTML5 trial etc.

Youtube has been glitchy for a while now but now Google too? Anyone else finding this?

If you can confirm its not a slow network, I'd check Flash.

Is it up to date? Maybe remove it with Adobe's tool and reinstall.

Id there was a problem with Flash Player, would it not afect other browsers too? So far it is only Safari.

Mysteriously both YT and Google have improved now, without me doing anything. Weird.
