Is there a reason why the YouTube app has a cleaner look than m.youtube.com? I thouht m.youtube was html5 and it was suppose to have a superior image quality. I rather the interface of m.youtube but the iPhone YouTube app just looks better in the video capabilities. Am I missing something?

I agree m.youtube works better but why was does the YouTube app video quality look better?

Not sure...I never really paid attention to the quality of the videos. I know some videos are higher quality than others. Are you comparing the quality of the same videos?

Maybe they come through at the highest resolution with the app and maybe you can choose a higher resolution with m.youtube.com.

I'm comparing the same videos and the YouTube app plays much better

You guys should do a quality test in video cause the app is definitely superior

I agree, the YouTube app is garbage! Video's are always in Low Quality and there are no options to change this either.

Stick to the web based YouTube, you'll actually have an option to turn on/off HQ videos!

EDIT: Zwhaler has pointed out a flaw in my plan. Thanks.

...but the fact that you need Wifi for the native app is, in my mind, the entire reason to never use it.

Remember the only way to get hi-res on the YouTube app is to be connected to wifi....

Ok so when playing the YouTube app on wifi then it has superior quality to m.youtube... But when playing app through 3G then the opposite is true..
