Hey So i got my iphone 3g unlocked at a mall and I just realized that the youtube application is no longer there. I read online about the youtube not working. I just don't have a youtube app at all anymore. I hope there is some way I could get it back, whether to reinstall the system or just to download youtube somehow. My phone's firmware version is 3.1(7C144)

soo i just tried teh reset thing. it doesnt work. i pretty dont have youtube at all on the iphone

What modem firmware(baseband) are you on?
You might have to restore and rejailbreak and unlock to get it again.
Not sure what the dude at the mall did to your iphone but sounds like he deleted your youtube app.
Probably cause the phone is hactivated and push notifications and youtube wont work unless you activate with a valid AT&T sim or install a pushfix.

i dont know what my friend did. but he got it back using cydia. So thanks anyway. =)
