So, I got my dad switching to Mac OS X recently, he is loving the experience so far and I have been teaching him weekly on how to enjoy his Mac experience to the limit.
I have been thinking for a while of a convenient way for him to get his camera captured and youtube downloaded videos on his Nokia N97, that i dislike btw, here is the problems:
-Nokia Multimedia Transfer is being used to sync his music/iphoto library and hopefully videos to his phone.
-It has a feature to convert videos from specified iTunes playlists and iPhoto albums if they are not supported by the phone, apparently it can't deal with MPG videos that his digicam captures.
-Also, he downloads some of his friends videos off Youtube all the time, I taught him the lengthy Activity window method, in Safari, which isn't so convenient.
I am trying to find a way/app to get youtube videos and convert them to the MP4 (640x360) and also convert all those digicam videos that he keeps in a smart album in iPhoto.
Trying to do that the simplest way possible, hopefully using 1 app, since my dad is an old man and he can mess things up, that's why I won't teach him to use my favorite app visualhub and do it the manual way.
