I am new to Mac and love it.

I would like to capture and download youtube videos to play when there is no internet connection. I would also like to import to imovie if possible. Any suggestions?

Find your joy here...

I have tried neither of them, just choose one that is listed as Freeware.

Alternatively you can just google "Dowload youtube videos" and you will find plenty of sites that will let you download youtube videos via Safari or Firefox.

Be sure to choose .mp4 and not .flv when you download the videos, otherwise you won't be able to play it/edit it without additionnal plugins.

Simply go to savevid.com and enter the youtube url into the box, click download and wait a moment. Download the mp4 only! Enjoy.

You're welcome Nina! Try savevid.com, seriously it's the best! No app to download!! Videos will play in Quicktime.
