Lately I've been having a lot of trouble watching flash videos.

I've tried emptying the cache, resetting Safari, repairing permissions, restarting my MBP and rebooting the router. Nothing works.

Basically, the videos play when they feel like it.

I press play and nothing happens. Videos just do not load.

Any ideas?

I've not gone out intentionally and used another connection to try it - but lets just say that on the instances I have used another connection, its not happened.

That could be "luck" but its happening quite a lot so I doubt it.

I've reset the router to factory settings over and over. Its Sky broadbands own router, FYI.

Hmm.. It might be a problem with the router, I know mine has problems, and sometimes won't let any youtube videos load either, pretty much the internet comes to a halt. I would call your internet provider, and tell them you have problems with their router, maybe they can trouble shoot it, and possibly send you a replacement?

I'll give that a try. That seems to be the only thing it could be. Weird though, since nothing else is effected.

Can you try connecting to the router via ethernet, and see if you have the same problem? Then maybe it might be the internet connection.

Next time it starts acting up, I'll give it a shot.

Thanks for sticking with me :)

I would ask about firmware updates before getting a replacement, unless the replacement is a different model.

just throwing out a wild guess, maybe try reinstalling the Flash plugin?

i had this happen on an old MBP 2.2SR running leopard and flash 10.
Resintalled and turned out okay...hope that was useful.

I've downloading V10 from Adobe now.

Fingers crossed :)

Sometimes it happens here, the video does not load at all.
My solution is simple Quit the application and restart it.
