Youtube freezes

Hi,

I have a Mac mini with the following configuration:

• Apple M1 chip with 8-core CPU, 8-core GPU, and 16-core Neural Engine

• 16 GB RAM

• 512 GB SSD storage

Lately, I’ve been experiencing buffering issues with YouTube videos (spinning circle).

In the Activity Monitor, I see this:

The internet speed shouldn’t be the cause (750 Mbps).

Disable any content blockers or extensions.

The ad blocker was already disabled, so that wasn’t the issue. I added the domain “YouTube.com” to the whitelist in Pi-hole, then restarted the computer, and so far, the YouTube videos keep playing. I’m curious if this will be the solution. I will monitor it for a while and let you know if it remains this way.
