Right behind you
Youtube in HD is impossible for me to watch. The audio lags every once in a while and the video will lag for 20 seconds or so, and sometimes more. Most of the time I have the Youtube wheel spinning in the video. I have the same symptoms in both Safari and Firefox.

I just upgraded my RAM to 1.5 GB, so that is not the problem. I checked and I do have the latest version of flash. I even tried my neighbor's internet at 4 Mb/sec. Nothing makes a difference.

Help please!

That's simple. RAM has really nothing to do with it. Your processor is too slow to run that. Put it this way, it doesn't run smooth on my iMac G5 at 2.0ghz with 1gb of RAM.

However, it runs completely smooth on my 2.4ghz Core 2 Duo with 1gb of RAM. Older computers just can't handle it.

What ^^^ said.

Your computer is too old for HD, stick to SD and you'll be fine.

The processor is not capable of keeping up with HD decoding, Flash 10 isn't going to make a difference.

For the normal-size Youtube HD on that iBook, it probably won't solve the problem. But it does 'make a difference,' especially for other video that might have been borderline. A smaller size/resolution HD flash, for instance, might play just fine.

Total resolution is part of the equation, not just whether it is encoded with H.264.
