YouTube laggy on PowerBook G3

Hi all,
Youtube is very laggy on my PowerBook 400mhz G3 Pismo running the lastest version of Panther with the latest version of Flash. I have 512 MB ram.

Turning down the quality helps a bit (gets rid of the stuttering) but they look pretty bad.

Are there any other things I could do to speed things up?
The same goes for playing back even low resolution .mp4 files.
