As the title says, my mac never can view youtube vids but my brothers pc can. It almost never loads the page and i need to refresh it at least 5 times before it loads a page or a movie. Is there a setting that i can use to fix this? It does this both on safari and firefox 2.0.

Thanks

What kind of Mac?

I've found Flash exhibit random issues on OS X when viewing video. You might want to look into updating to the latest version of Flash.

I've never had this problem...YouTube videos are stutteringly slow on my old 500 MHz iBook, but none of my newer machines have had a problem playing the content.

Is the MacBook in your profile the machine you're talking about here?

Have you re-installed flash player in either browser as a plugin ?

It will usually prompt you to do so, however if it doesn't you can always download it .

::EDIT::
didn't realize he had it working sometimes.. edited post..

Works perfectly on my Intel, and I've never installed the Flash Player from Adobe's site, I'm using Apple's bundled one.

I don't think it's his mac. I'm at the apple store right now, and if I play a youtube video in one safari window andopen up another, the video window begins to stutter pretty badly. It happens on every mac, from the lowly macbook to the great powermac. I know these macs have the power to do it, but something's wrong.

I have an intel macbook. Its not just videos on youtube, even if i search something it lags forever then loads the page. I'm checking all the settings n stuff....but i dunno what the problem is.

What's youtube?

Joke.

I have a new MBP and from time to time I will experience a long load time on the site, but I think that's due to my lackluster and overpriced broadband. Cheers, Tom

Did you try updating Flash, as suggested?
