Youtube on Safari

Hi,

I’m using Youtube in Safari, the only extension I am using is Adguard.

I have this bug for years already.
Basically often when clicking on YT video, I will see a black area instead of a video, I have to reload the page, and then tap “click to unmute”.

Anyone else has this issue?

And when you disable this?

No issue there - both Mac and iPhone.
I use as well AdGuard and it’s loopback VPN + many grease monkey scripts (Userscripts app) + Noir + SponsorBlock (because built in sponsor ads are made to show even with YT Premium ;/ )

Agree on trying at bare safari without vpns and then enabling step by step every other stuff
