Anyone know why it suddenly disappeared last week.

Can’t zoom in on iPad Air now. Had been there until now. And it stopped just before the update last week as well?

Has nobody else suddenly seen this. Or, just me. It was useful for reading certain things that needed enlarging, something so simple that was so useful just gone.

It works fine for me, maybe they aren't rolling it out to your device anymore? Doesn't make sense for it to work on the Pro instead though, since there's only a 0.1" difference in size...

Just me then. It does nothing now, there were various zooms that showed what x when zooming, but now opens full screen and that’s it. A real shame they messed with it.

I am still able to pinch to zoom in the YouTube app. But Youtube in safari it seems to be missing.

Youtube seriously hates on its viewers as the app is always glitchy and at times hampered but has a few great iPad features, but the website on the iPad is extra janky in mobile or desktop mode. I would pay for premium if they would get it together and create a good experience.

On most videos I like to zoom to fill as it mentally feels better to use the whole iPad screen I paid for.

Oh and don't get me started on the AppleTV YouTube app, I seriously want to slap the people who created and update that dumpster fire.

I still can't, and when I can't read something properly, it was really handy to zoom in. Hate when these things happen, was expecting it to come back, then updated app, nothing... I never realised just how useful it was till it went! Don't use it on Safari, get even more ads on the iPad Safari with YouTube.

I use the Apple TV app, what's the 'Apple TV YouTube' app? Oh you mean watching YouTube on Apple TV.... Not seen that

Are you on an Air 5?

I get no ads on iPad safari YouTube with Adguard, I get bombarded on thee YouTube app with ads. I just checked again and was able to pinch to zoom and I am on the most updated YouTube app and most updated iPadOS on the mini6. Something has to be off in your settings maybe? I will try and check my setup and see if find anything.

The Apple TV 4K connected to the tv has a YouTube app that is the worst thing in the history of UI add to that the the Apple TV remote control quirkiness it is a fun quest just to navigate.

I’ve got ad blockers on there. Will look at why it ALWAYS opens with an ad or 2. Does my head in.

I’m on an Air 5. Latest YouTube and iOS updates, and nothing I do changes it back to how it always was. Tried everything. When it stopped working it wasn’t on latest iOS or YouTube versions. All is now though.

Curious about Apple’s YouTube now. Surely not worse than Samsung TV’s.

Thanks for checking. Appreciated
