Trying to decide between the 14” and 16”. I feel like I’ve read everything but seeing the two is another thing. It might help to see the size and color comparisons, etc.

So whatever you’ve got is appreciated!

The 16" base is the sweet spot. Best battery life, best thermal management, similar performance to the Max for most tasks. The 16" 10/16/16GB/1TB is near-perfection. Frankly, barring Apple Silicon software support quirks and holes (certainly not specific to this particular config), I can't think of anything wrong with it. I love it.

For me, larger is better. Love my 16” MBP

There is no "right" answer to this as use cases vary and each person values different things (cost, size/weight, portability, screen size, etc) all come into play. I think you just need to look at how you will be using the machine and what you prefer.

If the opportunity exists to see and feel these in person - I recommend doing that at Best Buy or an Apple store. Some people are set on getting the 14" and then feel the screen is too small when viewing in person. Likewise, others are set on the 16" and end up being turned off by it's unwieldy size and weight.

Personally, I was only comparing base to base and there is a noticeable $500 difference between them and the fact that I have a 32" external monitor docked anyway led me to get the 14" (no regrets and very portable IMO) but I can see why many choose the 16" for the additional screen real estate.

I can tell you that I originally bought the 16" and returned it for the 14". In my case the laptop is almost always hooked up to a 32" monitor so I didn't need the larger screen anyway and on the occasions that it wasn't, the 16" was a bit cumbersome to lug around around the house and outdoors. if I didn't have a monitor and it was for a desk or on the couch though I definitely would have preferred the larger size. It really depends on what you're going to use it for and how

unfortunately, I will be unable to physically hold or see either in person before buying. It’ll be a leap of faith, if you will. So, are there any videos out there that do a good job of showing someone using the 2 sizes?
