Strange. History and bookmarks work but featured, most viewed and search don't work. They just say youtube is not available. I am using wifi too.

Are you by any chance using your iPhone on a non-AT&T network? This is a known issue for unlocked iPhones.

not available

Same here, any search returns a not available message.

yeah im not sure what's going on. i unlocked 3 phones and youtube doesn't work on mine, but it works on my sister's. very strange.

OK i just tried my dad's and sister's and now theirs aren't working either. can anyone please confirm that their youtube is not working (any iphone users at this point would be great). preferably unlocked for t-mobile.

I have an unlocked iPhone and it was working for me earlier but now it doest

my theory is that they are blocking the acct info from the files we need to upload in order for youtube to work.

any "non-unlocked" AT&T users, can you confirm that your youtube is still working?

by the way the videos appearing in my history still work. so there's got to be some way around this.

How would they know its a hacked iphone and not a regural one with AT&T though?

Because we had to replace two files in iphone's folder to enable youtube.

they are probably banning those two files.

But i am as clueless as everybody else so :p

Oh I see, and basicly everyone is using those 2 same values.
Im sure all they gotta do is come up with a fix shortly.
Why does Youtube care if you're using a hacked Iphone to view their contect anyway though?

Why is there a YouTube application on my iPhone?

You dont see the icon on your iphone?

Uhh.

YouTube does care. If Apple tells them to do something, they have to do it. It's all in the agreement.

Blocking YouTube content is a hell of a lot easier to do then to block other networks (T-Mobile, etc) with just a snap of your finger. Off of the current software of course.

I feel bad for the people that hacked their phones. Apple and ATT is going to shut you down. Maybe temporarily, but still.

Semi-good news:

100% Working on wi-fi, still no go on Edge. Oh well, I can live with that--fwiw I didn't do any of the special scripts for YT so perhaps that might be it. Blah, too lazy to find out.

Keep this thread going if any problems arise in the future. A look at the hackint0sh thread reveals some europeans are still having issues with YouTube, on both Wi-Fi and Edge.

well, good news, youtube is working again

Its working for me again too. Also for those that asked, I have never hacked my phone so I don't know what the issue was. Something with youtube or my service provider. I suspect it was at youtube's end because I even tried it on EDGE.
