I saw this and thought it was very fake...

If I had said the same things, it would have had the same effect. It doesn't need an expert to do that...

Hypnotism is a genuine thing and definitely does work. Also Hammond isn't exactly an actor, he's a presenter and reporter.

The end bit did seem a bit fake, even if Hammond was properly hypnotised then I think he did realise that something funny was going on. The car starting thing was hilarious and was 100% genuine imo.
