Youtube videos won't play through Facebook app

Whenever I click on a youtuve video that is posted on Facebook through their app it won't play. And when I tell it to open in Safari it says it is not able to play the video. Is there any way to tap a video from the Facebook app and play it? I know its not a lack of flash issue.
