Hello, i have an issue with youtube getting wrong location/language of me all the time.
I do use VPN for my internet access, but i am signed to google and youtube, so he should know my settings like country language etc.
But youtube showing me videos in chines or other languages/locations, google search sometimes too.

i dont get this because i am logged in...

on google forums topics related to this are closed with no replies... :(

any idea how to fix this?
thx

It depends on what VPN proxy server you are using. YouTube may pick up that country/location.

Example, I live in the US. If I were to use a VPN to connect to a UK proxy server, that would be the location point searches, etc would see.

Well, i am trying to use servers from my country, but google sometimes identify it wrong.
I was thinking that the setting of the account are exactly to override this.
Imagine i am traveling the world each week in different country and seeying all the stuff on youtube with foreign languages all the time.. doesn’t make sense …

In my experience for Youtube at least this is normal behavior when using a VPN. The content you are served appears to be based on a combination of account history / subscriptions, IP geo location and what's trending. It's even more obvious in the ads you're served.
