Well, I guess if job cuts are the only thing that will allow AOL to continue to be able to direct-mail its free CDs, then it looks like they don't have much of a choice! You know what they say at AOL:

"When the going gets tough, the free CDs get a complimentary tough tin case!"

My step-father works for TW, and he's been getting AOL for free (I asked him once why he had AOL. He told me, "because it's free". I told him, "it's still not worth it". Badump bump). Now he's gotta get a new ISP (I suggested getting DSL).

A few months ago, I got an ad for TW Cable ( which I already have ) talking about how much better it was than AOL.

Idiots.

Well.. hmm.. I have optimum online, and it kicks butt. 500k/sec down. Used to be 1.2MB down, but I moved. Hurumph.
