Z-5500 & 17" Pb

My brother recently got a PowerBook 17" and he wants to get a nice set of speakers and take advantage of the PB's optical audio. He wanted the Klipsch Pro Media Ultra 5.1's but they didn't have the digital optical. So can the Logitech Z-5500's connect to the powerbook using the digital optical? If so, what cable would I need?

I don't want to drop 300 some dollars on these speakers if they won't connect right, lol.

I did some looking, if I used a cable like this, http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/xpress/ would that work?

That should work. I would look at places like ebuyer.com, zipzoomfly.com or newegg.com. They often sell these speakers for around $200, I picked mine up for $189. Good luck
