Hey guys,
So I was installing the ZAGG Invisible Shield on my iPhone 3G when I accidentally hit the button and turned the iPhone on while I was installing it. When I did, I noticed that a "This device is not compatible with your iPhone. We recommend enabling airport...etc etc" message came up. I immediately turned the iPhone back off and finishing installing the shield.
I was worried about water damage so I looked and tried to see if any the water sensors had been tripped (I'm assuming a drop or two must've hit the dock connector to cause that to happen). I don't see any red in either the headphone jack of the dock connector, and I haven't seen that message come up again. The phone overall still seems to be functioning normally and the dock connector plug does seem to be working (I recently synced with my computer and charged the phone with no issues).
I guess where I'm going with this is; do you think that it caused any permanent damage that might creep up later? Can anyone tell me exactly how to make sure that the water sensors weren't tripped (I may go to the Apple Store to ask them to take a quick look). I want to get Apple Care since the year is about up, but I'd hate to get it if I've already messed up the phone via the water-based solution that comes with that ZAGG shield!
Thanks for your help guys.
