It has no new features, the 2.0 was released in response to the first version failing to charge devices.

Yes there is an Optimized and General port....not a big deal. But there are no additional LED indicators, four of them just like on the first version.

the link was in my post already...thanks

Please let us know how it is!

This is from ZAGG's site:

Optimized: The top USB charging port is optimized for smartphones and other devices that are capable of taking an optimized charge, including Apple's iPhone, iPad and iPod family of products.

General: The bottom port uses the standard USB specification and will charge devices that do not utilize the optimized USB charging specification.

Now what that "optimized USB charging specification" is.....I don't know.

Thats what I was wondering. I tried googling it and it doesn't seem to be mentioned anywhere (at least by that name) on the internet besides ZAGG's website.

Then try asking ZAGG directly.

This is just a guess, but I'm going to assume that the "optimized" port puts out more than 0.5A (probably 1A as with Apple's USB charger) and the "general" port puts out only 0.5A as according to the standard USB spec.

Either one will charge an iPhone, but the top port will charge faster.

I have emailed ZAGG several times as to what "optimized" means technically but they keep telling me the same thing that is on their site. Why is it always like pulling teeth to get information out of ZAGG?

Beware of the Zagg Sparq

I purchased two of them - I wish I had come to this site first and checked out the forums! One was DOA - and it took about a month for a replacement to show up. They both worked fine for about 3 weeks, then as others have found the USB ports stopped working. They are both out of warranty and I'm done with Zagg products.
