Zens today announced a new modular charging station for iPhone, AirPods, Apple Watch, and more. There are five separate pieces that you can buy individually, and attach together via magnets to build your preferred charging station.

To start, you need one of the "Main Station" bases as the core of the modular system. This includes a Modular Dual Wireless Charger Main Station (€99.99), Modular Stand Wireless Charger Main Station (€69.99), or a Modular Single Wireless Charger Main Station (€59.99).

The Dual Wireless Charger supports 30W output (one for each device on the mat), while the Single Wireless Charger supports 15W output, similar to the Stand Wireless Charger. They each include a 65W power adapter.

With one of these mats, you can add up to four extensions to the modular system. The two extensions available include the Modular Apple Watch Charger Extension (€49.99) and the Modular Single Wireless Charger Extension (€39.99). The Single Wireless Charger Extension supports a 10W output, and is aimed at the AirPods.

The new Zens modular charging accessories are available to purchase today from the company's storefront. Zens ships worldwide, and the shipping cost for deliveries to Europe is €7.99, while the cost to North America is $9.99.

The aesthetics are about as attractive as a car mat...

Yes!!! :D

I like the modular approach of this because it allows different combinations for different use cases. It's a great idea.

Unfortunately, it looks pretty utilitarian - not that my Anker stuff is "aerospace grade aluminium" or anything. Personally I know nothing about this brand, either.

i wonder if there will be heat issues.

my duo charger from Samsung has a tiny fan built in.

Levitatin' da devices liken dat ganna biggen reduce da chargin' efficiency, un dat was alritty bad.

Had the recent Zens glass covered wireless charging station. Seeing all the copper coils was interesting for awhile.

It quit charging the iPhone and the watch charging puck got too hot to touch. They said it would be replaced under warranty. Ther BIG catch is I would have to pay to ship it back to their location in Europe which could cost more than the product is worth.

I had a similar (monetary) issue with a Mophie product a long time ago, before their stuff was readily available in the UK. Bought it from US direct, developed a problem, the return post was so prohibitive I binned it.

Had a few decent Mophie products mind, not dumping on the brand, but I learned a lesson there.

Looks like it supports 15W? Cool... But don't they lead with this fact?

7.5 wireless charging mats are dead to me.

Any company that launches a Magsafe/15W-capable charging mat this side of Christmas should slap that label all over their marketing collatoral.

They'll mop up sales.

Ahh I went through hell with this company. I pre-ordered it in January but they sent me a bad outlet. Then I noticed a terrible plastic smell (which seems to be common). They said they'd replace it but I had to cover the shipping costs to Europe as well... Terrible company all around. I bought into the good reviews but wish I would have waited for another product. What did you guys do in your case?

anybody have experience with satechi trio wireless charging iPhone/airpods/Apple Watch ?

my concern is I have an anker made wireless charging pad and I stopped using it cause the iPhone kept getting really hot
