Im not quite sure what ZFS is, but there are rumors of it being used in leopard. I just bought a new triple interface OWC mercury elite external hdd last week. If ZFS is a part of leopard, am i going to be able to use this drive with it for time machine and such? I am aware that this may be a stupid question but im just throwing it out there, hope i didnt waste my money.

ZFS is software. It is a file system like FAT32, NTFS or HFS+. You will almost certainly be able to format all or a partition of the drive in ZFS.

thanks. that is what i kind of figured. wont time machine require tons of space or will it just save the differences/changes?
