Zillow today added SharePlay integration to its iOS app, allowing iPhone and iPad users to browse through home and apartment listings with their friends, family, or real estate agent using FaceTime.

According to Zillow, "Americans love to Zillow surf," and the FaceTime update is designed to make exploring the Zillow app with others easier and "a lot more fun."

After initiating a FaceTime call, one of the participants can start a SharePlay session through the Zillow app. Each person participating will need to install Zillow on an iPhone or iPad running iOS or iPadOS 15.1 or later.

Once launched, users can search for different locations in the Zillow app and browse through the available listings together, with content synced between them. Today's update brings Zillow in line with Redfin, another real estate app that previously introduced SharePlay support.

Since SharePlay launched alongside iOS 15.1, third-party apps have been adding integration. Quite a few apps and games now offer SharePlay support, including Twitch, Spotify, TikTok, Disney+, MasterClass, and more.

Real estate agents will love this it will make it so much easier to purchase a house.
Not true. Anywhere from 75-90% of the homes on Zillow are already under contract, and they don't tell you that. No Realtor wants to sit there and and FaceTime with a client as they say: "What about this one? " then have to check the MLS and say, sorry already under contract 20 times a call.

Zillow is a big scam and almost went bankrupt because of house flipping. I think they have like 7000 homes they need to sell.

This is super useful. When we were shopping for homes my wife was staying with her mom while I continued to work where we were living. Often she would just go to the properties and filter them before sharing with me. This would have allowed us to easily work together. I would send her texts about properties I found and vice versa. This would have been super useful.

Real estate agents don’t ever use Zxxxxxx - they use the actual MLS/MLS apps.

Run from any agent who uses Zxxxxxx - they’re probably not paying MLS dues, licensed, or all of the above.

Only the actual MLS/MLS integrated apps have access to all the listing data, confidential info, history, disclosures, etc.

Other apps data (like Zxxxxx) can easily be manipulated by nefarious properly owners & fraudsters - it’s very common to find old listings posted on non-MLS sites as rental/sales scams.
