Zillow today announced that it has integrated the Apple Maps Look Around feature into its real estate app, allowing potential home buyers to get a closer look at the neighborhood around a house they are interested in.

Apple with iOS 16 added the Apple Maps Look Around feature to the MapKit API that is available to developers, letting developers add the feature to third-party apps for the first time. Third-party apps are also now able to use MapKit with the new 3D map experience that is available in some areas.

Zillow says that with interactive floor plans and 3D tours, the Look Around integration makes it "easier than ever" to get a "deep sense of your home and community." Look Around can be accessed from Zillow listing pages using the Zillow app for iOS devices.

The Zillow app has already integrated SharePlay, with Zillow also rolling out support for Shared with You. Shared with You will let Zillow app users see listings in the Zillow app that have been shared with them through the Messages app on iOS and Mac devices.

Zillow can be downloaded from the App Store for free. [Direct Link]

I'll be happy when Apple's lookaround feature actually comes to where I live. I saw the camera car about 3 years ago ( think) but still nothing!

when will Look Around cover the same area as Google Street View? i can’t wait! Look Around is way smoother

I am interested in a Tesla tiny homes for around $10,000. I would like to see what the area looks like around one of those homes with Apple Look Around.

I assume it'll happen within a few months of when Apple (or their contractors) gets cameras to those places. Honestly, it works pretty well, but I still end up using Google Maps street view, as I like looking up directions on my computer (which increasingly is a PC) before putting them into my phone.

I’m open to seeing what you mean. Can you elaborate please, you’re saying the Zillow website is better at looking at neighborhood prices? How; as in map view and seeing different prices overlayed on the map?
I was agreeing with you that the app is better. :)

This is a great addition but Google StreetView still has far superior coverage. I don't understand how Look Around can still be so incomplete years after launch, especially in core markets like the US; if you live outside of a top 25 metro you get nothing. Meanwhile Google Maps has multiple years of StreetView data for my neighborhood.
