i installed a third party Zip program (so that i could make a password protected .zip file) but now when ever i click on a .zip file it tried to open in this program.

I wish to have the finder opne it like before. I tried chageing the default program in get info but i don't know when the finder, un-zippy thing is located.

Any ideas?

I'm guessing Stuffit Expander was prob used to unzip the .zip file, it's located in Applications/Utilities

So just change the default 'Open With' settings under Get Info.

The application that Finder uses for unzipping is called "BOMArchiveHelper". If it's not in the list, you can find it at /System/Library/CoreServices/BOMArchiveHelper.app.

thanks hexmonkey!

I almost had it myself, was looking in all the folders in the library, but couldn't rememeber the name of the helper... cheers
