After I insert it into the zip drive the window pops up prompting me to initialize it, eject it or ignore etc. I can't get to my stuff on the zip. Any idea on what I can do?

I Independence macrumors regular Jan 14, 2003 234 0 United States Jan 15, 2004 #5 Make sure the plastic cover over the crystal-like component on the bottom of the disk is clean. If that doesn't work, have a look at this link. My guess, though, is that your disk or drive is defective.
