Zip mac files

hi, i made a video in imovie...my problem is that its 30mbs. are there any good zip programs out there so i can send the video to my friends?

i have tried right clicking and choosing "ziP" (I HAVE OS leopard) and that only zips it to 28mb,,,,,not much help


also, can my friends on PC's view the Imovie file?

Its been this way for forever with Video. You can't compress them (i.e. zip, stuff, rar, etc.). You'll have to encode the movie in a lower quality format.

Leopard- Click+Control- select compress "name of file"----- this compresses said file

Tiger- Click+control- select "create archive" to make a zip file.
