Under the file menu in Leopard I get "Compress" and not "Create Archive".
Can I Compress with a password?
TIA

I dont believe you can be basic, OS X gui built-in archiver functionality.

im sure its possible if you archive the file using terminal, but that would require you to know the proper commands and yeah most likely wont be user-friendly.

I recommend you simply use a third party application... I'll also suggest

Yemuzip.

Thanks

I have gone with stuffit.
Looked all over for info, but, I guess, it can't be done.
Thanks for your help
