Hi,

My friend accidently spilled tea all over his iPod Touch (some of the tea went into the dock slot) and it no longer works. After a couple of days, his iPod came back to life when he plugged it back into his computer. However, it just shows the battery display with a red bar. When he unplugged it, it turned off instantly. He even left it charging overnight but the when he unplugged it, it also turned off.

Do any of you know if Applecare would cover his iPod? Yes, his iPod had water damage but all in all, his iPod sort of survived since it turns out and that his argument is that his iPod can no longer hold its charge.

From what I know, they will check for Water Damage on the indicator in the Headphone Outlet. If it's red, Then they are unlikely to help you unless the people are being kind to you.
