I am currently teaching on Zoom remotely. I've upgraded to a 300 mbps internet with hub (xfinity) and need to get not only a clear picture but also crisp sound.

I own and use my MacBook Air

What would help my sound quality as well as picture quality when I share my screen on my MacBook Air while using the internet and Zoom simultaneously (I present to my PE class using Google Slides on my Google Drive).

My main concern is picture quality that students may see as well as sound quality while I am doing exercises with students virtually.

Thanks!

For sound I'd use a clip on wireless microphone. With a USB receiver for the computer. Unless you want a higher end system. Connected to a USB sound card on your computer.

For picture quality. I'd look into some cheap umbrella lighting like photographers use. Then use a tripod mounted camera for video. That way you can play around with position for optimal placement. You can start with a cheap webcam which is mountable. Perhaps even look into a used DSLR for about $100 off eBay. For better quality than any webcam. Not all of these cameras may be repurposed as a webcam.

These are just some ideas. I can't recommend any specific make or model.

Thank you for this! I'd love recommendations in terms of brands if anyone has any good USB Sound Card with wireless microphone!

Thank you, again!

Do you have any wireless earbuds? You can pair those to your MacBook Air. As long as the mic isn't touching/brushing up against your clothes, I'd think you should be okay.
