Zoom while Recording a Video?

I have an iPhone 4S running iOS 7 beta 6. In iOS 7 on the iPhone 5, you can zoom while recording a video in the camera app. I cannot get this to work on my iPhone 4S. Is it a bug or is it not supported on my iPhone?
