Zotero like program

I'm looking for a program that is similar to Zotero that the data can be transferred between macs and pcs and that it uses rss feeds instead of screen shots to save files. if anyone knows of a program like Zotero that uses rss feeds i would beholdent to you!

Zotero is a Firefox add-on, so it will work on Macs.

Strangely it looks like it is used on Mac OS X in all the screen shots and the installation videos, as it is a Firefox add-onn.

yeah it does work on macs, but we've had problems with it in the past. primarily on windows and I'm just using as an example of what i am looking for. i don't like it and i am looking for an alternative for it.
