The thing is nobody has proved that 1 is better than the other.

Hence "if" :p. I don't really care, honestly. I highly doubt I would notice any difference. I am certainly far too lazy to return a computer to try my hand at a parts lottery :p

For the SSD discussion:

The easiest way to prove that Samsungs are better than Toshibas is
to post some benchmarks. So instead of just posting what you've got run the
harddrive test in XBench 1.3 and post your results.

I'll give it a go with my toshiba in a few hours when i'll get more time.

Well, it has already been proven many times, so it's a fact, the Samsung SSD is faster.:)

I ran bench on my tosh ssd

Write: 228.90MB/Sec [4K blocks]
Read: 201.66MB/Sec [256K blocks]

Thought read was mean't to be faster than write but seems fairly quick

People have claimed the samsung benches faster but i haven't seen any results myself yet. The concept was started by a few people here but i haven't seen any evidence yet.

I really truly don't think there is going to be much different between the SSD's or the panels, minor differences maybe, not major ones.

I have no idea which panel is better and I don't think there is any hard proof for it.

About the SSDs: the Samsung is clearly the faster one. Anandtech shows it very clearly. Benchmarks on Storagereview and Laptopmag indicate the same.

But I do agree that it may be hard to perceive the performance difference in real life (without using benchmark software).

well i've not seen any proof black on white. especially not for the 256gb models. it could be a whole different story. and why trust some reviewers when we can test it on our own in the machines we care about? so instead of just speculating and complaining we can proof where the differences are and then everyone can decide for his own good if he wants to swap out his air until he gets the desired parts.

So can we start posting benches with xbench, i posted my results above from my toshiba ssd.

Will be more interesting to compare real performance.

OMG!

I just discovered I have a panel manufactured by Mars, Inc., in a factory that processes nuts, (Snickers). Should I be concerned?!

My Panel Serial # is:

I have hit the lottery, yes?

If you have to ask the internet, then you've proved this is ridiculous. It should be very obvious if your components are 'superior.'

There are no differences in components. Period.

U have the 64gb right? I am wondering if the 64gb vs 128gb vs 256gb are all the same speed when tested.?
