so when do you think apple will reveal the exact release date of snow leopard?

in the past, say for leopard, did they say "coming october 2007" or did they already have an exact date announced?

If history is anything to go by, they will announce it 2-3 weeks before. Leopard's was announced on the 16th of Oct, and released on the 26th; Panther's was announced on the 8th and released on the 24th.

How about this: The GMA 950 is capable of 64-bit, but because there are no 64-bit drivers, it won't be able to utilize that capability.

Which is fine, x64 doesn't do much for video cards. How ever the lack of a driver is all on Apple not writing one. Nothing to do with the hardware or Intel.

I still don't understand why Apple is not just writing x64 drivers for all its hardware, Its not like its Giant amounts of parts, just those from ~2003, then they just need a 64/32bit converter for printers, scanners, cameras, ect, unless they plan to convert the existing drivers to x64.
