Apple finally posted it! Run, don't walk. (EDIT: Don't scroll down on this linked page to avoid spoilers):

Downloading the stream

If you want to download (and at this point I don't blame you), here's how.

Open VLC.
File->Open Network...
Use this link: http://p.events-delivery.apple.com....kjnfvpijhabdfvpijbadfv09/m3u8/sl_vod_mvp.m3u8
Click box for Streaming/Saving...
Open Settings
Choose the File radio button
Browse and pick a file
Set encapsulation to MPEG 4
Everything else is default. Transcoding options all unchecked, Display stream locally unchecked, etc.
Press OK, then Open
VLC progress bar will start moving, showing you how far into the stream it's downloaded
When it reaches the end you'll have a full download of the keynote. On my connection it takes about 20m, YMMV.

I haven't the foggiest idea why it takes them so long to update the Podcast feed on iTunes, but this is way faster, and I do it basically every year.

Don't skip through!

I almost did even though I usually watch the updates, but Tim forgoes them.

I guess it's 2 hours of product presentations. :D

If you want more control over the quality at which it downloads, you can also download the linked file and view it's contents (with a text editor or whatever). There you will se a list of links to other m3u8 files for specific resolutions.

Select one and use that in vlc instead.

Still not available on the Apple TV, still not available in the Apple podcasts.

Opening the link works in the browser or in Quicktime, but I don't want to watch a Keynote on my computer. :(

I'm doing all that but it just starts playing the video instead of downloading it. :(

edit: it's FINALLY available on the Apple TV.

Code:
http://p.events-delivery.apple.com.edgesuite.net/14pijnadfpvkjnfvpijhabdfvpijbadfv09/m3u8/sl_vod_mvp.m3u8

First of all copy this link.

Then open network stream on VLC (win). or just ctrl + N
Paste the URL.
Next to the play button click on the arrow and then to convert.

Select a profile. for example 1080p TV. Press on the tools button for preferences like encapsulation if you need it.
then press on start.

I opened up win8 task manager and I'm observing ethernet.

final size for me on that setting seems to be 135 mb.
I think something went wrong :D. I'll retry with another codec

edit: holy crap. I think I accidentally aborted the saving while playing with the settings to write the little guide above. It recorded 3 minutes = 135MB!
